Our house is located in the heart of Hintertux in Zillertal with a wonderful view of the Hintertux Glacier, the only year-round ski resort in Austria. In Winter, the valley run leads you directly to our front door after an eventful day of skiing and in summer, the location of the Tuxerstübl is an ideal starting point for hikes, biking & mountain sports of all kinds. Look forward to a "car-free " holiday! Once the car is brought to the underground car park after arrival, it is usually only needed again for departure! Free buses take you to the valley station of the Hintertux Glacier cable car and through our beautiful Tux Valley at any time of the day or night in Winter - you can reach the bus stop in 3 minutes. Families with children and possibly also pets are always welcome. At our house bar & in the cosy wine bar, the holiday evening becomes a pleasure. Our tip: our guests receive special conditions on the skiing courses of our own ski school. In summer you not only enjoy the fresh, allergen-free mountain air but also take part in the unforgettable glacier hike once a week free of charge (lift ticket not included)

Your Holiday Destination Hintertux - The municipality of Tux consists of the villages Tux - with the districts of Lanersbach and Vorderlanersbach - Hintertux, Madseit and Juns, and the hamlets of Berg, Schöneben, Außerrettenbach, Gemais. Tux is the main town, the municipal office, the parish church, the tourist board, schools and the kindergarten are located there; here is the central point. The municipality of Tux extends along the valley floor over a length of 10 km and is located at an altitude of 1260 m up to 1500 m in Hintertux. It is surrounded, indeed framed by magnificent mountains, the highest point of which is the Olperer with 3476 m. The valley floor and slopes are green to the edge of the glacier - hence the name "Tux, the Green Glacier Valley".

And if you prefer to be romantic, you will definitely be drawn to a convivial hut evening followed by a fun sleigh ride on one of the 3 illuminated natural toboggan runs. Curling at the Natural Ice Rink in Lanersbach has also become a highlight. It gets especially funny in the evening with friends, acquaintances or the whole family.  

Our tip for families: There is a lot of winter fun in Tux for the little ones as well, e.g. in the children's ski schools with children's carousel and magic carpet, at the baby lifts in the valley, at the craft afternoon, at the children's festivals and much more. Our guests receive special conditions at our ski school.

Your way to us: 

By car: Inntal motorway (A12) - exit Zillertal - Bundesstraße (B169) to Mayrhofen - Tuxer Landesstraße to Hintertux (from the motorway exit Zillertal to Hintertux 50 km). In Winter, the road from Mayrhofen to Hintertux is well cleared; after new snow, snow chains are obligatory! 

By train: Express train station Jenbach / Tirol-Zillertalbahn (train or bus) to Mayrhofen-Postbus service from Mayrhofen to Hintertux, or by taxi
